PegasusSwap answers: how we work, how we stay reliable, how swaps settle and how affiliates earn
Operational Part
- Swap ID is a unique set of identification characters for a specific swap. With the help of swap ID you can contact our support team in any situations.
- TxID is the hash of your output, a unique set of characters that is issued when your transaction transitions to the blockchain.
- You can track your swap with our tracker. Copy your Swap ID or Tx ID and paste it into the search engine on our website.
- We don't have maximum limits but at the same time we have minimum ones, this amount varies, equivalent to 100 dollars.
- To begin with - don't worry, contact support, provide all the information that is required and we will definitely help you.
- A wallet is a digital place where you can store your cryptocurrency coins. Typically, each coin has its own official wallet, which you can find on the coin's official website. Every crypto wallet address is a unique combination of numbers and letters, usually 26 to 35 characters long, or a tag with a private key.
- Every swap always has a sender and a receiver. The receiving address is the unique wallet address used to receive the currency you want to buy. The receiver’s wallet address must match the currency you wish to receive.
- Usually, a transaction is processed within 5 to 30 minutes. However, in case of high transaction volume, it may take longer. Keep in mind that different coins require different confirmation times.
- Please double-check all payment details carefully. Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once a transaction is included in a block, it cannot be canceled.
- Normally, there is no fee. However, there are exceptions — if the AML risk exceeds the acceptable level, we may charge an additional fee to cover the risk assessment service.
- Depending on the currency you want to swap, we might ask you to specify additional IDs along with the wallet address. Some cryptocurrencies use such IDs to identify a transaction. For example:
• Payment ID is used for Monero
• Destination Tag is used for Ripple
• A memo is used for Steem and Stellar
• A message is used for XEM.
Such IDs are essential to send coins safely. The funds might be lost if you don’t provide the required IDs. - Choose your pair, add your receiving wallet, then send the exact amount to your personal deposit address. We route the swap for the best available price and deliver funds directly to your wallet. Track everything with your Swap ID.
- Floating locks the route at the time of swap and usually gives the best price. Fixed holds a quote for a short window, great if you want certainty during volatile markets.
- We auto-detect the network and warn when a tag/memo is required (XRP, XLM, TON). Funds sent to an incompatible address or without a required memo may be unrecoverable, always double-check before sending.
- All fees are shown before you send: network fees + a small service fee (no hidden costs). The quote displays your expected receive amount and ETA.
- Fixed Rate
With a fixed rate, the swap rate is locked the moment your deposit reaches us on-chain and receives the required confirmation.
The amount you receive is calculated based on the rate at the time your funds actually arrive.
The speed of rate locking depends on the specific coin and network - faster networks confirm transactions more quickly, which means the rate is fixed sooner.
Floating Rate
With a floating rate, the final amount is based on the live market rate at the moment the swap is executed.
The rate may move either in your favor or against you while the transaction is being processed. - Dynamic Minimum per Asset
For each cryptocurrency on PegasusSwap, there is a dynamic minimum - equivalent to $50.
This means that the swap amount cannot be less than $50, converted into the chosen cryptocurrency.
What happens if the amount is below the minimum?
If your deposit is below the minimum ($50 equivalent):
• the swap will not be processed,
• the funds are returned to the sender (minus network fees). - If you send a cryptocurrency that we do not support, the funds cannot be processed and will usually be refunded to the sender (minus network fees).
If you send via the wrong network, there is a risk that funds may be lost, but in many cases we can assist in recovering them. Recovery usually takes some time.
Important: Always double-check the asset and network before sending to avoid delays. - At the moment, we do not support card purchases or fiat off-ramps.
PegasusSwap is fully focused on anonymity and privacy, prioritizing secure and private crypto-to-crypto transactions.
